Ukraine Counter-Offensive Ramps Up With Russian Panic Set to ‘Quickly Intensify and Spread’ Among Troops

Ukrainian forces have stepped up their counter-offensive efforts, seizing a tactically important location which could send Russian troops into a panic.

Footage shared on social media shows Ukrainian troops pressing into Robotyne, a village in the southern Zaporizhzhia region.

It is part of Ukraine’s offensive push launched in early June to strike Russia’s defensive lines and sever their path to Crimea, according to the Kyiv Post.

The Ukrainians say they are close to taking the village, just a week after the country liberated Urozhaine, a Ukrainian village previously held by the Russians.

Hanna Maliar, the deputy defence minister, said: “Our units were successful in the direction of south-eastern Robotyne.

“The enemy tried to regain positions east of Robotyne… but unsuccessfully. Planned combat work is currently under way,” she added.

Videos shared online show Ukrainian tanks firing on Russian positions, as well as starting a mopping-up operation in the war-torn village.

The Institute for the Study of War said that Ukraine’s recent successes could threaten Russian stability.

The think-tank wrote that panic could “quickly intensify and spread among Russian front-line units”.

Ukrainian troops have also reportedly started shelling nearby Novoprokopivka in order to weaken Russia and stop it from seizing back the territories Ukraine has recently claimed.

Meanwhile, footage released by the Telegraph shows six Russian tanks being blown up by Ukrainian troops in the besieged city of Bakhmut.

The Russian’s armoured fighting vehicles were blown up when Moscow ordered a counterattack on Klishchiivka, a Ukrainian village.

Ukraine is receiving fighter jets from Denmark and the NetherlandsReuters

However, the counter-attack was unsuccessful, pro-Russian bloggers reported.

Last week, Ukraine received promises from Denmark and the Netherlands to deliver F-16 fighter jets to help their cause.

Denmark will send 19 jets and although the Netherlands have yet to specify an exact number, they do have 42 available.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky told the Danish government that their support has made him confident that they could take down the Russians.

Sweden has declined to offer any jets to the war-ravaged country.

Moscow has cautioned that supplying fighter jets to Ukraine will escalate the war even further.
